Additional information: Very pebble fruit. It does not look like an avocado on the outside, due to its extremely round and very rough shape. Small, fallen tree. Not available for general release. Most of the varieties grown in California belong to the group “Guatemala” or “Mexican” (or a hybrid of both) while Florida grows mostly in “West India”. About Fat: Avocado oil is an excellent source of “good” fats, which have beneficial effects on inflammation. As a rich source of monounsaturated fatty acids, avocado is a very unusual fruit.
